We Are Resilient

What does RESILIENCE mean to you? Our favorite definition is “the capacity of a person to maintain their core purpose and integrity in the face of dramatically changed circumstances.”

After 18 months of global change and challenge, the ‘WE ARE RESILIENT” Global Nia Project is a celebration of the individual and collective RESILIENCE found through the movement, mindfulness, connection and JOY of Nia.

Featuring over 1,000 moversages 5 to 95, of all abilities, shapes, sizes and fitness levels from countries all around the world… including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Canada, Finland, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sweden, and the United States – (just to name a few)! We hope this project inspires you to celebrate YOUR resilience!

In a world where so much can divide us, we are united by one song, one dance, and our collective JOY + RESILIENCE through Nia!

Dance of Health (and Marcia Coakley’s Nia Technique teaching) are on hiatus following a major move, retirement, transformation, and a redirect to my other life-long love and previous vocation as Marcia Coakley Pottery (under development) along with some health challenges (non-covid related, thankfully).

Movement Your Body Is Seeking

Your body wants to move.

Welcome to Dance of Health, where we help you bring more movement into your life. You will learn to focus on, to pay attention to your movement and how your body works. We focus especially on the (new) awareness of how it feels (inside). With this new language of the body, what we call sensation awareness, you become attuned to a new way you are moving. You can make new choices, find new movement paths, and create new solutions. Feeling different than you may be used to, we guide you to seek a way that feels good to you.
